Grandma did all the cooking and canning for St Lukes Hospital. She also lived at the hospital. Her children stayed with grandma Drennen and after work every night she walked to grandma Drennen's to spend time with her boys, bathe them and see that they were put to bed and asleep before she walked back to the hospital.
