After her retirement, she moved to Florida before coming to Evansville 10 years ago to be near her family. While living in Evansville, she worked for a family business "My Best Friends Closet" where she made many new friends.
She was a 1934 graduate of Bosse High School.
She is survived by two sons and their spouses, Jack and Sandy Worthington and Richard and Cheri Worthington, all of Evansville; four grandchildren, Brett, Jeffrey and Darin Worthington and Shannon Latham; and five great-grandchildren, Logan, Jourdan and Wade Worthington, and Kelsi and Kevin Latham.
At Dorothy's request, there will be a celebration of her life with a gathering of friends and family at a later date.
