Mr. Richard W. Shadley, 64, of Greenup died about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Febrary 10, 1981 in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center, Coles County, where he entered February 9th.
He was born January 23, 1917, son of William W. and Elizabeth (Dillier) Shadley.
He married Eleanor Furry December 31, 1944. She survives.
Dick was employed with Ettelbrick shoe Company in Greenup for 42 years. He retired as foreman in 1979.
He served 1941 to 1945 in the Armed Forces as a World War 2 Veteran, a member of Greenup Masonic Lodge #125 A.F. @ A.M., the Greenup American Legion and Greenup V.F.W. and an Elder of the Greenup Presbyterian Church.
Other survivors iclude four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Williams of Greenup, Mrs. Vern (Ruby) Phillips of Chula Vista, California, Lawrence Shadley of Greenup, Mrs. Richard (Grace) Aten, Hidalgo, Mrs. W.J. (Marjorie) McMorris of Greenup and Lloyd Shadley of Panamora City, California.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 1981 in Bishop Funeral Home, Greenup and burial will be made in the Greenup Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents in 1961.
Masonic services were held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
Graveside Military Rites will be held.
