Frank was the third son and fifth child out of eleven children born to Joseph Benjamin BROOKS and Mary Frances EVERHART.

He is on the 1880 Census with his parents in Prairie Twp., Randolph Co., Missouri

24 OCT 1893 at age 20 he married Elmer N. HAWTHORN in Bell Co., Texas.

Frank and Elmer had 1 daughter that I know of:
1. Mattie Maud BROOKS was born 24 JAN 1895 and died age 1 year 9 months, 28 SEP 1896 in Temple, Bell Co., Texas.

Frank and Elmer were on the 1900 Census in Temple Ward 3, Bell Co., Texas. Frank, age 27, was a "Fireman".

On the 1910 and 1920 Census they were living in Prairie, Randolph Co., Missouri. Frank, age 37 & 47 was a "Farmer - general farming".

In 1920 eighteen year-old Jannita HAWTORN (a niece) was living with them. Mrs. Junita KRUMP was the informant on Elmer's death certificate in 1936. Elmer, a widow, had been living with her for 2 months at 319 E. 43rd, Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri. I'm wondering if these aren't the same woman.

In 1930 Frank and Elmer are on the Census living at 711 S. Clark Street, Moberly, South Sugar Creek, Randolph Co., Missouri. Frank age 57 was working as a "car man" at the "railroad shops".

9 SEP 1936 Frank was living at 511 South Clark, Moberly. According to his death certificate he had lived there 15 years. He was working at the Wabash R.R. Shops up until 3 weeks before he died. Frank died from "Right renal calculus / Pyelitis" age 63.

He was buried in Oakland Cem. on September 11th.
