Services for James V. Capone, 21, of 6239 Reidy Hill Road, LaFayette, who died Tuesday in a two-car accident in LaFayette, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, LaFayette. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt***. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home, 514 Turtle St. Mr. Capone was a native of Syracuse. He was a senior at Syracuse University, majoring in wood products engineering. Mr. Capone was a 1983 graduate of LaFayette High School. In high school Mr. Capone was a member and co-captain of the LaFayette Varsity Football Team and a member of the All-Onondaga County Football Team. He also was a member and co-captain of the high school's wrestling team and a member of the lacrosse team. Mr. Capone was a member of the LaFayette High School Band, its stage band and the all-county band. He was a member of the All-American Music Hall of Fame and was voted most musical by his high school graduating class. Mr. Capone was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Surviving are his parents, Robert L. and Mary A. Capone of LaFayette; a brother, Randolph B. of LaFayette; a sister, Linda B. Capone of Washington, D.C.; his paternal grandmother, Ernestine Capone of LaFayette; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond F. Baker of Camillus; and several aunts, uncles and nephews. Contributions may be made to the James V. Capone Memorial Fund at LaFayette High School.
