DANFORTH -- Visitation for Anna Bensema, 105, of Danforth, will be from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the 11 a.m. services at the Danforth Reformed Church, where she was a member. Rev. Donald J. MacDonald III will officiate.
Burial will be in Danforth Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Danforth Reformed Church.
Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, is in charge of arrangements.
She died Saturday (Dec. 11, 2004) at the Gilman Nursing Pavilion.
Ms. Bensema had been a school teacher in the Danforth area for 19 years.
She was born Aug. 9, 1899, in Danforth, the daughter of John and Carrie Saxsma Bensema.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Four sisters, Margaret DePinto, Jessie Booi, Jennie Dykstra, Faye Brown; and five brothers, George, Tim, Emory, Fred and one who died in infancy, are deceased.
She attended Danforth schools and Normal Teachers College.
Ms. Bensema was a member of the Missionary Society of her church for 40 years.
She enjoyed playing the piano and singing.
