Wallace M. Barnett was born on June 10, 1921 to Max and Louise Barnett of Spokane, WA. He was raised in Everett and married Jeanne Clement of Kenora, Ontario in 1942. They had two daughters: Diane Barnett Arvon and Cheryl Barnett.
He served in the US Army during WWII. He also worked in the building and trade industry serving as Vice President of Herr Lumber in their Harbor Ave office for decades until the store closed with the death of its CEO William "Bill" Herr in 1991. He was a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus Brotherhood. He was a Boy Scout volunteer.
He married for the second time: Laverne Aileen Baird from 1975 to her passing in 2006. At the time of his passing he is survived by his current wife Ruthann; daughters, Dianne Arvon and Cheryl Burnett; his grandson; Keith Arvon (Valerie); his step children and grandchildren. A mass in his memory held at 11 am on Saturday March 19, 2011 at St. Vincent de Paul: 30525 8th Ave S. Federal Way, WA. Memorial donations made to World Vision (published in Seattle Times- March, 13, 2011).
