Mildred Custance, 92, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 at University Park Nursing Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she worked at Postal Federal Credit Union for 20 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church, Postal Auxiliary and Southside High School Alumni Club. Survivors include daughters, Beverley (Les) McClintock, and LaVonne (Patrick) Gerardot both of Fort Wayne; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orla V. Custance; sister, Elvira Pike; and brother, Virgil Gaskill.
