Effie C. Alexander, 85, of DeKalb, Ill., died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital, DeKalb.
She was born May 6, 1927, in Missoula, Mont.
She was the loving mother of Dale (Julie) Alexander of Cincinnati, Charlene (Jerry) Davenport of Phoenix, and Richard (Wilaiwan Phimkhalee) Alexander of DeKalb; dear grandmother of Andrew and Nathaniel Whitaker; and fond sister of Vernon (Ulla) Nelson of Fullerton, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Selma; and one brother, Elmer.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center in care of Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178.
