ELLISTOWN – William "Bill" Dye, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. He was a resident of Graceland. He was a Baptist. He was a retired electrician and truck driver, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn. Burial will be in Glenfield Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Jovonna Rainey (BJ) of New Albany, Tina Pannell of Blue Springs, Debbie Engleander (Scott) and Teresa Jones (John), both of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Mary Jane Threadgill (Charles) of Memphis; three brothers, Johnny Dye (Sandra) of Tupelo, Walter Dye (Shirley) of Aberdeen and Charles Dye of Birmingham Ridge; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Dye, and his parents, Gurney and Christine Grissom Dye.
Pallbearers will be Gareth Pannell, Glenn Hutcheson, Gradon Pannell, Ted Long, BJ Rainey and Gary Pannell.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sanctuary Hospice House.
