Mrs. Albaugh is the daughter of the late Tillman L. and Alice Grossnickle of near Detour. Mr. Albaugh is a retired dairy farmer. They are the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Smith, Rocky Ridge, and Mrs. Boone, Westminster. They also have three granddaughters and eight grandsons: Janet and Donna Boone, and Joann Denise Smith; Karl Joseph Smith, Jr., Emmitsburg; Ronald V. Smith, Fort Carson, Colorado; Larry, Jerry, Jimmie, Ricky, Randy and Jeffrey Smith. They have one great-granddaughter, five-month-old Patricia Ann Smith, Colorado. The highlight of the event was when Mr. and Mrs. Albaugh were presented a framed certificate from Gov. Marvin Mandel of Maryland, and a framed greeting from President Richard Nixon. Many gifts were received, also a money tree, which was decorated by Mr. and Mrs. Karl Smith. Approximately 150 guests attended from various points in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. Sending gifts, but unable to attend, were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baker, Hampshire, Illinois."
