HARRY ORRIS BOYER, 79, Kittanning RD 1, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1986, in the Indiana Hospital.

A son of Vernon and Mellie Schrecengost Boyer, he was born Aug. 28, 1907, in Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong County.

Mr. Boyer was a member of the Elderton First United Methodist Church and Elderton Volunteer Fire Department.

He was retired from PPG Industries of Ford City, and had lived all his life in the area.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys M. Cravener Boyer; two sons: Robert E., Elderton and Bernard D., Kittanning RD 1; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Harold (Velma) Schrecengost, Rural Valley RD 1, and Mrs. Cora Brown, Rural Valley.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold and two grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Clark Chapel, Elderton, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Rev. James Myers will officiate and interment will follow in Elderton Cemetery.
