Daniel Edwin Bruner, resident of South Range, and a former resident of Spooner, passed away at the University hospital, in Madison, September 27, at the age of 54 years.
He was born in the township of Scott, Burnett County, on April 7, 1909 and grew to manhood in Spooner.
He entered the employment of the Northwestern Railroad in 1929 and was continuously employed by them until his death.
His father and mother and one daughter, Judy, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Fern; three sons, Dean of Woodstock, Ill, Rex and Gene, and four step-children, Kay, Myron, Robert and Donna, all at home; nine brothers and sisters, Mrs. Stanley Kasper, Mrs. Clyde Snell, Mrs. Ray King, Mrs. Paul Lerback, Herbert and Lee, all of Spooner; Mrs. John Lindberg, Mrs. Thorston Lindberg, of Kamloops B.C. Canada, and Robert, of Enilda, Alberta, Canada, and many other relatives.
Funeral services were held on Monday Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. at Dahl Funeral Home, Rev. Virgil Holmes officiated, with burial in Spooner Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Fred Sinclair, Guy McCall, George Mack, Ellis Nelson, Robert Johnston and Al Nystrom. (Spooner Advocate, Spooner, WI, October 3, 1963)
