Barbara (Mead) Gaston, 45,of Maysville, Mo., died late Sunday, October 11, 1987 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City. Services will be held 10 a.m. Thrusday at Carlsons Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
She was born May 30,1942 at El Dorado, the daughter of Orville and Willie Juanita(Davis) Mead. She had lived in Maysville for the past 2 years, moving there from ElDorado.She had also lived in Goddard. She married Kenneth Gaston, Oct 25, 1985 at El Dorado.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; one son, Michael Boothof El Dorado; four daughters, Frankie Smith, Wendy Huffman, and Crystal Stanfield, all of El Dorado; Leslye Lazzers Of Maysville,Mo.; step-mother, Ethel Mead of El Dorado; two brothers, Don Mead of Leon and James Mead of Prosser, Wash.; two sisters, Waneta Harms and Verna Offen, both of El Dorado; step-brother, Jack Griffith of Burns; three step-sisters, Juanita Williams of Andover, Janet Larson of Pittsbury, Susie Eaton of El Dorado; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial has been established with the Scleroderma Fund. Carlson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Services for Barbara( Mrs.Kenneth Gaston) 45, of Maysville,Mo and former resident of El Dorado, were held Thurday morning at Carlson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
She died Sunday, October 11,1987.
Reverend Jim Hatfield, pastor of th Four Square Church, officiated at the services. Allen Webster at the organ, played the Old Rugged Cross during the prelude. Katy Webster sang "The Rose", and Allen Webster sang " Amazing Grace". Two of Mrs. Gaston's daughters Frankie Smith and Crystal Stanfield, sang "The Lighthouse."
Casket beares were Bob Jenkins, Carroll Walters, Barry Black, Robert Maness, Guy Heyman, Norman Kanack.
Honorary bearers were Bennie Offen, Dale Rosebraugh, Bill Marvin, Richard Moran, Jack Hacker
