Funeral services will be held at a 2 pm Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday (16 Aug 1978) at St John Cathedral for Mrs. Charles Culotta, 92, the former Giacinta Garbo, who died at her residence, 502 S Pierce Street, at 10:15 am Sunday. Interment will be in St John Cemetery.

Mrs. Culotta was a native of Cefalu, Italy, the daughter of the late Sam F Garbo and Sarah Palumbo and had been a resident of Lafayette for the past 75 years.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Herman E (Rose) Hebert of Cecilia, Mrs. Sarah Culotta, and Mrs. Joseph W (Josephine) Lormand both of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Andrew E. (Rita) Rizzuto, and Mrs. Henry R (Marie) Olivier, both of Lafayette, and eight grand-children. She was preceeded in death by her husband Charles Culotta and one son Philip Charles Culotta.

A rosary will be recited at 8 pm Tuesday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm today, 7 am to 10 pm Tuesday, and from 7 am to service time Wednesday.
