A Celebration of Life service for Carl Angle Jr., 52, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Leatherwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Owens officiating. Mr. Angle died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Angle, of Wellington; three sons, Randy Angle, of Piedmont, Michael Angle, of Wellington and Joseph Smith and his wife, Alisa of Piedmont; two daughters, Jessica Angle, of Rainbow City and Rikki Angle, of Ohatchee; five sisters, Debra Angle, of Atlanta, Ga., Jean Patterson and her husband, Travis, of Piedmont, Carol Courson and her husband Dan, of Ohatchee, Sheila Slate, of Piedmont and Mary Gordon, of Piedmont; two brothers, Johnny Angle and his wife, Shannon, of Piedmont and Bill Tait, of Vernal, Utah; one granddaughter, Addilyn Smith, of Piedmont; one aunt, Barbara Sloan and her husband, D.A., of Wellington and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Angle served in the US Army National Guard for six years. He attended Leatherwood Baptist Church in Anniston.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Angle, Sr.
The family would like to extend special thanks Dr. Trupp, Dr. Spremulli and their oncology staff and to New Beacon Hospice for their devoted care.
Also a special thanks to his sister, Carol Courson, for being a rock and comforter to his entire family.
