Celebration of life service for Anne Marie Alberts, 70, of Oxford, will be at 3 p.m. August 17, 2012 at the home of nephews, 23720 West 53rd Street, Shawnee, KS 66226. Remains to be cremated and interment at Memorial Park, St. Joseph, Mo.
Mrs. Alberts passed away at home August 11, 2012.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Alberts; daughter, Dove Gregory, of Garland, Texas; Grandchildren, Jonahs and Jacob Downer, of Garland, Texas; brothers, Robert E. Hunter Jr. (Connie), of Osborn, Mo., John W. Hunter (Lorieann), of Maysville, Mo.; sisters, Roberta M. Bryant (Vince), of Panguitch, Utah, Ramona L. Gross, of St. Joseph, Mo., Debra S. Stillman (Luke), of St. Joseph, Mo., Karen L. Bozarth (Lee), of Northglenn, Colo.; son-in-law, Harry Downer, of Mesquite, Texas; sisters-in-law, Mae Martinez, of St. Joseph, Mo., Dove Ann Rittman, of Excelsior Springs, Mo. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was born December 21, 1941, the daughter of Robert E. and Florence I. Hunter. She graduated from Benton High School and attended Platte Business College. She was a member of ABWA and served as president and was a charter member of Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian.
She married Dan Alberts on November 29, 1980 in Ft. Leavenworth, Kan. She was a craft artist and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, antiquing, reading and traveling in their RV.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hunter; mother, Florence Gilpen Hunter; husband, Bob Gregory; sons, Timothy and David Gregory. In lieu of flowers Anne would have appreciated you continuing her personal mission by donating to your local animal shelter or humane society. .
