|Death: ||Dec. 1, 1871|
Kate is thought to be a Native American of the Wintu tribe. More research is in progress.
In Spring of 1859, the Camden family and Kate traveled to Europe on vacation visiting Charles Camden's birth home and family in England. They were gone from Shasta County for six months, returning on November 1, 1859.
The 1870 US Census shows Kate working, as a Domestic, for Mr. Adoram Coleman and family. The following year, Kate died at age 27 and was laid to rest on a small hill above Charles Camden's home within the Tower House Historic District.
