Edward Clark Beall was the youngest son of Louis Erwin Beall and Harriet Morgan Clark Beall. He was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and was surrounded by family, cousins and a life steeped in tradition and heritage. His Beall ancestors founded Cumberland, Maryland, fought in the Revolutionary War and came over on the the Mayflower.

Edward Clark Beall married Willie Oliver Duncan 28 April 1923. Ned enlisted in the French Foreign Legion and then moved over to the US army in World War I. Willie was a Red Cross volunteer and they met in Paris during the war. It was a union that was blessed with much love and laughter. They settled down in Mobile/Daphne around 1954 and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1958, returning to Daphne, Alabama in the Duncan compound where all three of the Duncan sisters had a house.

The Bealls were blessed with a beautiful daughter and granddaughter.
