CHASE - Patti Benson, 42 of Chase, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at her home.
She was born Dec. 17, 1960 in Carson City to Van and Ruth (Smilie) Hutchinson. She attended schools in Reed City, graduating from Reed City High School in 1979. She was married Oct. 3, 1981 to David Benson who survives. She had lived in this area most of her life and worked as a purchaser for Tubelite. She was an avid reader, had been co-class advisor for the class of 2005 and was active in band boosters.
She is survived by her husband David; a son, Spencer; a daughter, Casey; her mother, Ruth Hutchinson of Reed City; a brother, William Hutchinson of Three Rivers; two nephews, James and Judson; and a half-sister, Ruth Deurwarder of Lansing. Her father preceded her in death in 2001.
Funeral services were held Monday at McDowell Funeral Home with Rev. David Moe officiating. Burial was in Chase Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
