A Presbyterian minister, Reverend Hugh Andrews (and extended Hedges, and Cilley families) was the strength behind the Venice Presbyterian Church, Ross Township, Butler County, Ohio, a short distance across the small river from Colerain Twp, Hamilton Co.,OH. The records for this early church are elusive, as I have written about on other entries. But I noticed that its the small old Methodist church building nearby, Venice (now being converted into a business) which has the surname Andrews carved, high above the door, on the permanent nameplate; so there must be a tie to Methodism also.
