Amelia Hawthorn or Hawthorne was the daughter of Lewis Hawthorn and Sarah Cook of Manningham, Butler County, Alabama. She was married first to Alonzo Crenshaw (1895-1963) with a child, Ethel (1914-2005). She was said to have then married Henry Baugh Sr., with children Eva Mae Baugh (about 1929- ) and and Henry Baugh, Jr. (1931-2003). These facts have partial support in the following census records:
1900 - Manningham. Father, Lewis Hawthorn (b. Jan, 1879); mother, Sarah (Cook, b. May 1875); and Amelia (Feb. 1893), plus 2 other children.
1910 - Manningham. Sarah Hawthorne (age 38) Head, Amelia (age 17). Lewis probably died before 1910.
1930 - Greenville, Butler County, AL. Amelia Crenshaw (age 35) with a daughter, Eva Mae Baugh (1). Neither Henry Baugh, Sr, nor Ethel Crenshaw and is in the household.
A social security death record for Amelia Crenshaw with the correct birth and death dates lists the location of death in Mobile County, Alabama. I have not yet found a record in which she uses Baugh as a married name.
