Lucille was married to Emery Russell Deatherage on Oct 31, 1938 in Liberty, MO. They were parents to one son, Wayne Emery Deatherage (1941).

Lucille J. Deatherage, 80, northeast Kansas City, died Oct. 6, 1988, at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. She was a lifelong Kansas City resident. Mrs. Deatherage was a sales clerk for Dolgin's before she retired. She was a member of St. Francis Seraph Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne E. Deatherage, Kansas City, and Lloyd R. Moulder, Lathrop, Mo.; a sister, Anna Marie Williams, Kansas City; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church; burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Sunday at the Sheil Independence Avenue chapel, where the rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m.
