Janice King Adams, 63, of Darien passed away Tuesday at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
A memorial service was held at Chapman Funeral Chapel.
Janice was born in Brunswick. She was a 1968 graduate of Glynn Academy and served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. She had been a resident of Darien for the past 18 years and was an active volunteer for many organizations and events, including schools, the American Legion, and community events such as the Darien Blessing of the Fleet.
She enjoyed arts and crafts and was of the Baptist faith. She was loved by all and was a special adopted mother to many throughout her life.
Survivors include a daughter, Katrina Bolick of Brunswick; a son, Michael Qunicy Adams of Darien; a brother, Rassie King of Ellabelle; two sisters, Anna McRaven of Brunswick and Patricia Asher of Pooler; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Emily Iler.
Chapman Funeral Chapel and Crematory was in charge of the arrangements.
