William H. Kirk was born October 10, 1930 to Earl Leslie and Irene Josephine Baker Kirk. A life resident of Muscatine, he married Miss Vargus in 1954. He was a member of the F.O.O. Eagles, American Legion, and National Rifle Association. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was an electrician at I.M.C. in Muscatine, and had became owner and operator of Muscatine Control Engineering in 1985.

William died at home on August 13, 1987. Services were held on August 17 at the Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery's Veteran's section. Military rites were conducted jointly by the American Legion, VFW, and WWI veteran organizations.

He was survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
