Kristina Gertrude Schottmueller Biermann was the ninth child born to Reinhardt Schottmueller, and his second wife, Helena (nee Wirth) Biermann, both of whom were natives of Baden, Wuttemberg, Germany. They had been married on the 31st of December 1876.

Kristina Gertrude entered the world on May 12,1893, at the family home, located in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kristina's older siblings included: Marcus, Johan, Peter, Franz Joseph, Katharina, Franziska Agatha, George Martin, Helena Katharina, and later Maria, born in 1894.

Two children a boy and girl from Reinhardt's first marriage, were photographed together with Reinhardt and Helena in 1887, in St. Louis. The two children were half-siblings of Christina's and had been born in Germany.

By 1900, Kristina first name was being spelled "Christina", who was seven years old and was attending school. By 1910, only she and brother George Martin were living at home with their parents. Christina was 16 years old, and George Martin, was 20.

On February 1, 1914, Christina's father, Reinhardt, died after a month long illness. He was buried at Calvary Cemetery on the 14th of February 1914.

Christina worked at a book publishing company in St. Louis, where she held various positions. It was during this period that she had met Walter Henry Biermann, and married.

Christina and Walter Henry were parents of one child, Walter George Biermann, born October 10, 1916.

Sadly, Walter Henry passed away in June of 1945, leaving Christina a widow. Christina never remarried, and was the loving Grandmother of three grandchildren, and six Great-grandchildren. Christina Schottmueller Biermann lived out her remaining years in her hometown, St. Louis, Missouri.

Christina passed away in March of 1979, at the age of 85 years. She was a beloved mother, dear grandmother, and doting great-grandmother, who is dearly missed.
