ADAMS WINSTON-SALEM Bruce Edward Adams Dec. 9, 1937 - Feb. 21, 2014 Mr. Bruce Edward Adams, 76, of Winston-Salem, passed away, Friday, February 21, 2014, at Forsyth Medical Center with his family by his side. Bruce was born December 9, 1937 in Forsyth County a son to the late Roger Lee Adams, Sr. and Blanch Brann Adams. He lived in the Old Town Community all of his life. He was a graduate of Wingate College. On December 26, 1962 he married the love of his life, the former Joyce McCorkle. He retired from RJ Reynolds and was a true outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce M. Adams of the home; a son, Jeffery E. Adams and his wife, Ann of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, and Mallory; two brothers, Roger Lee Adams, Jr. of FL and Dr. Richard Adams of Statesville; two sisters, Marian Smith of Greensboro and Joan Nelson of CA and a sister in law, Jane Brown and her husband, Kelly of Ararat, VA. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24th in the Chapel of Frank Vogler and Sons Reynolda Road, with Rev. Mark Key officiating. Entombment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
