Born in Honomu, Hawaii, he is survived by wife Mildred "Patty;" sons Nicholas Ah Yo and Casimir Leite-Ah Yo; daughter Gabriela Kelly; hanai daughter Kathy Peterson; brothers Herbert Ah Yo and Elgin Duarte; and sisters Rose Namaka, Ethelbertha Morimoto and Elaine Hara.
