James Lynn Fincham was born Sept. 24, 1919 at Home City, Marshall County, Kansas, the son of Clayton W. and Pearl M. Thompson Fincham. He graduated from Marysville High School, Marysville, KS in 1938. His first marriage was to Eunice Potts in Nov. 1941. Then he married Evelyn Lucille Bauer on June 11, 1950. They were the parents of one son and four daughters; Barbara (from 1st marriage), Fred, Mary Lynnette, Janet, & Lorie. He was an engineer on the Union Pacific Railroad, an employee of 38 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Blue Lodge No. 91, Corinthian Commandry No. 40, Royal Arch Mason No. 29, Arab Shrine of Topeka, NeMar Shrine of Marysville, Hilda Chapter No. 164 and Union Pacific Old Timer's Club; also member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, W.W. II.
James Lynn died July 4, 1979 at his farm near Winifred, Marshall County, KS. He was interred in the Marysville Cemetery, Marysville, KS.
