Mrs. Adam was born Floriena Schauberger, the daughter of Charles (Carl) A. and Elizabeth Rohl Schauberger, in Alton, Indiana, on September 26, 1885. The family moved to Tell City before the turn of the century. She was married to Joseph Adam in Tell City September 10, 1904. Most of Mrs. Adam's life was spent in Tell City.
Mrs. Adam was a member of the First United Church of Christ (E & R). Women of the Moose, Women's Guild of her church and the Tell City Home Economics Club. She took an active part in all the organizations in which she held membership. The Tell City Home Economics club dates back to 1913, Mrs. Adam was not a charter member but she was a long-time member. Other members of the club on Thursday recalled that she was one of the most ardent and interested members. She missed few meetings and was ever ready to help in any club project. Her interest was the same in all of her organization work. In addition to this activity she found time to be a good wife, mother and a valued and helpful friend to all her neighbors, relatives and acquaintances.
