Steve OZENKOSKI (born OZYMKOWSKI) was born on Augugust 27, 1884 in Decatur, Illinois, and worked in the coal mines in his early years then worked on the railroad. By the age of 21, he had changed the spelling of his name and moved to Baden, in North St Louis City, Missouri, to find employment. He rented a room at the Willer Boarding Home where he met and married their daughter, Mary Anne WILLER. He was the father of 8 children: Clara, Agnes, Jake, Anna, Stanley, Anthony and Albert and Marie Ozenkoski. Steve was born into a family of 18 children.
