Faye Patricia Ash, age 80, formerly of Miller County, passed away on February, 12, 2014. Faye was born in Vossburg, Mississippi, on August 12, 1933, and was currently living in Olathe, Kansas.
Faye was known in the community for her vibrant and generous spirit, sense of humor, strong work ethic, southern roots and enduring faith. She worked well into her seventies and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of Honey Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters Myrna Luttrell and husband Darrell of Gardner, Kansas, Mona Elam of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Marian Beleutz and husband Rick of Kemah, Texas; five grandchildren, Hannah, Adam, Emily, Hailey and Tanner; and one great-grandchild, Lucy.
She was preceded in death by husbands Frank Thomas and Warren Ash.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m., on Friday, February 21, 2014, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Dennis Nichols will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
