Colter Joseph Abely, 20, of Middletown, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, August 18, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Massachusetts.
Colter was born in New Britain, May 3, 1992, the beloved son of Brian Abely and Chaleen Bloethe Abely of Middletown. He is a 2010 graduate of Xavier High School in Middletown, where he was a member of the wrestling team. Colter was employed by United Oil Recovery in Meriden. Colter lived life to its fullest.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Sasha Abely; his maternal grandparents Ruth and William Bloethe, and his paternal grandmother Ann Abely and her husband Joseph; his aunts; and uncles; his cousins; and many friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Richard Abely.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wednesday, August 22, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in The Wallingford Funeral Home on Thursday, August 23, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Colter may be sent to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp/ Angel Ride, 555 Long Wharf Drive, New Haven, Ct. 06511
