Our beloved Anna Lou Hopkins passed away Wednesday, March 23, 1994, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born June 19, 1907 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Albert Goodson and Jennie May Brockbank. Graduated from the University of Utah, where she was affiliated with the Phi Mu Sorority. Married Deward Hopkins, April 5, 1931. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Anna Lou was an inspirational and dedicated teacher. She started her teaching career at North Sevier High School in Salina, Utah. She taught in various LDS Ward and Stake programs, and was a teacher at the Primary Children's Hospital Blind School. She retired as a teacher at Southeast Junior High School. She served as president of the Salt Lake Mother's Club, and was associated with the Pri-Alumnae Group. She was a devoted member of the Order of the Cross.

Survived by a son, Kendall Hopkins and his wife, Kitty, Salt Lake; a son, Charles Hopkins, Portland, Oregon; a daughter, Jenniece Schilling, Salt Lake; a brother, Hughes Brockbank, Scottsdale, Arizona; a sister, Beverly Southwick, Ogden; grandchildren, Michael Hopkins, David Hopkins, Jeffrey Hopkins, Jennie Gleason, and Christy Gulbranson; great-grandchildren, Brennan Gleason and Tyler Gulbranson. She was preceded in death by her husband, three infant children, a grandson, and daughter-in-law.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, March 28th, at 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 2350 East 1300 South. Burial and Graveside Services will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful Sisters and staff at St. Joseph Villa for their thoughtfulness, friendship and caring for Anna Lou during the past year.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations by made to St. Joseph Villa, 475 E. Ramona Ave., SLC, UT 84115, for the continuing care of our elderly loved ones.
