Son of George W. and Elizabeth Baker. Enlisted in US Army on 4/11/1917 in Columbus, IN. Sent to Ft. William H. Seward in Alaska. Assigned to Company F, 14th Infantry. Transferred to Ft. Lawton, WA. Assigned to Company A, 14th Infantry. From there he went to Ft. Dodge, IA, where he died of pneumonia.
