|Birth: ||Jun. 26, 1919|
|Death: ||May 7, 1992|
John Weaver who died at age 73, had 3 children, Larry Bryant Weaver, Jean Louise Weaver (Lurtsema), and John Charles Weaver. He had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren at the time of his death.
His first wife was Frances Louise Bryant, daughter of Lester & Valura Bryant of Fulton County, Indiana. Frances remarried Roger Herrell from Phoenix, AZ and died in 2010.
John's last wife was (Irene) Rene Weaver, they spent 30 plus happy years together until he fell ill in his late 60's and then she chose to kept him home caring for him until his death. She survives and is living in Southern California. She had a fulltime career as a child psychologist until she retired.
John owned a restaurant and then went on to study law and received a law degree with a concentration in corporate law.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and lover of nature and animals. He was a talented carpenter who loved crafting his own solid wood furniture.
Dad's DNA tested by National Geographic reveals his people originated in the upper most regions of what is now called Norway. Perhaps a Viking background?
John and his sister, Martha were adopted by the "Weavers" and his true history is forever forgotten because the building burned down that housed the records. His real father died in WWI, leaving his wife devestated and penniless and that's why he was adopted. It is said his real parents names were "Kates" or "Cates", but we do not even know which state he was born in. We think it was Matoon Illinois and then he moved to Fulton County, Indiana with his adoptive parents. We wish we knew more about our dad. If you know more please tell us.
