Died at her residence, four miles southeast of Ayr, Adams County, Neb. Nov. 23, 1885, Mrs Julia Allender, aged 26 years and 8 months.
Mrs. Allender was born in Henry Co. Iowa, March 23, 1856. In company with her father, Barnabas Cantwell, she moved to Adams County twelve years ago. She was married to Christopher Allender, July 11, 1875.
She died in the prime of life, loved and respected by all who knew her, leaving a husband and three small children to mourn their loss, besides numerous relatives and a host of friends.
Rev. R.M. Hardman preached the funeral sermon from the following text: I am the Resurrection and the Life. John 11. 25. She was buried in the Millington cemetery. Forty teams followed the remains to its last resting place on earth. "Thy Will be Done."
