Rites Monday For Fox Woman
Services for Mrs. Mary Pickelsimer were Monday, at 2:30 p.m. in Fox Baptist Church with the Rev. Noel Brandon officiating, assisted by the Rev. C. E. Means of Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Pickelsimer was bonrn in Gaddistown, Ga., on Jan. 18, 1893 and moved to Oklahoma in 1925, and to Fox in 1941.
She died Saturday night in an Ardmore hospital after a lengthy illness. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Janie Seals, Fox; three sons, Maynard, Fox, Marcus, Jal, N. Mex., and Beecher, Healdton; one sister, Mrs. Ida Smith, Cumming, Ga.; and 10 grandchildren.
Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery under directon of Reser Funeral Home.




According to HISTORY OF THE MAULDIN FAMILY, written by Ida Obelia Mauldin, "On January 18,1893 there was another born in the family. This time a girl and when she was four months old mother had to attend court as a witness for our father. On this trip they gave the baby the name Mary Haralson Mauldin for the mother of our father's lawyer".
