Lawrence Berberich, 52, of Yankton, died Wednesday (Dec. 28, 1988) at University Hospital in Omaha.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Menominee, Neb., with the
Rev. Tony Wilwerding officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Yankton.
Pallbearers are: Gene Cooke, Thomas Moore, Michael Molenda, Phil Dohn, Duane Potts and Dennis Heine.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday morning at Kostel Funeral Home in Yankton prior to the service.
A Knights of Columbus rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, followed at 8 p.m. by a scripture service,
both at the Kostel Funeral Home.
Mr. Berberich was born Dec. 5, 1936, in Yankton to Francis and Edna Anderson Berberich.
He graduated from Yankton High School in 1955 and attended the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology at Rapid City.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1957 and was discharged in 1959.
In 1960 Mr. Berberich went to work for Bauer Electric in Yankton, where he worked for 25 years.
He has most recently been engaged in farming and raising cattle.
Mr. Berberich married Jean Mueller April 12, 1969, in North Platte, Neb.
Survivors include: his mother; one sister, Mrs. Alojzy (Betty) Klimczyk of Seattle, Wash.; and one brother,
Joseph Berberich of Volin.
He was preceeded in death by his wife on June 26, 1969, and his father.
