The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 550 N. Danebo Ave. for Melody "Ann" Perez of Eugene, who died Oct. 21 of unknown causes pending test results. She was 33. Visitation will be at noon Thursday at the church.
She was born Aug. 11, 1978, in Renton, Wash., to Dirk and Melody Smith Bodily. She married Mario Perez on July 16, 2005, in Eugene.
She held a doctorate of audiology from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and a master's in audiology from Idaho State University. She was an audiologist for the Eugene Hearing and Speech Center and, for the last five years, at PeaceHealth Medical Group.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Norie Perez of Eugene; her parents, now of Boise; three brothers, Matthew Bodily of Little Rock, Ark., and Edward Bodily and Daniel Bodily, both of Boise; two sisters, Lisa Cary, of Lansing, Mich., and Sharon Tavares of Provo, Utah; and grandparents Margaret Bodily and Ariel and Val Smith, all of Bountiful, Utah.
Burial will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Arrangements by Sunset Hills Cemetery, Funeral Home & Crematorium in Eugene.
