In the late 1990s, Saerree' endowed the lead gift to build a new facility for Hillel, the Jewish student organization, at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She met her husband at the Hillel House at the University of Illinois many years earlier. The new building is named for her and her husband, Lou. This picture shows her digging the symbolic first shovelful of ground for the foundation.

On the back, SKF wrote the contest was held in Kimball Hall, with 1000 in audience. She forgot the final note in her exercise, "Minuet in G Minor" - her mind went blank due to a fire in her home that morning. 11 years old.

Among Lou and Saerree's favorite charitable recipients was Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Five of their great-grandchildren visited the Mount Scopus campus on 6/14/2016 and saw the tablets at a scenic overlook memorializing their generosity to the school.

Saerree was a prolific artist who loved religious themes. She designed this cover for the program book of her grandson Philipp's Bar Mitzvah in 1983.

Tribute to her grandmother by Laura Weisskopf Bleill, on the occasion of Hillel of Illinois' honoring Saerree Fiedler. Bleill's activity at Northwestern University Hillel House inspired Saerree to endow a new home for that institution.
