Cecil married Olva Hall on on August 16, 1924. He was 22 years old, & she was 19.
On April 5, 1930, Cecil, age 27, & Olva, 25, lived in Achille, Bryan Co, OK where they owned a home. He had a job as a miller in a custom mill.
On April 23, 1940, Cecil, age 37, & Olva, 35, were living in Achille where he had a job as an operator in a filling station. They had two daughters: Wanda Jean, age 6, & Helen M., 3. Cecil's widowed father, Lee Parton, age 63, & his brother, Otha, 33, lived with them.
Cecil & Olva were living in Dimmit, Castro Co, TX when his life was cut short at their home by a tragic accident. He thought he was drinking from a bottle of cough syrup, but instead it contained hydraulic acid. He died 22 hours later at 2 a.m.on Feb. 16, 1960. He was 55 years old.

Thanks to Cindie (Wells) Owen (#47724229), Cecil & Olva's granddaughter, for providing the following information.
Cecil ran a blacksmith shop & a cotton mill for years, & Olva ran a grocery store/gas station in Achille. When he was a child his father ran a store for a while & was the first unofficial postmaster with the mail being delivered to his store.
Cecil's father is Lee E. Parton & his mother is Etta May Thomas. He had one whole brother, Otha Ewing Parton, & one half brother, who went by Glenn - his first name may have been Oscar after his father - & 2 or three half sisters - I remember Aunt Ned & Aunt Lou. Etta & Lee divorced & she remarried Dr. Oscar Stringer & had more children with him. They all resided in Achille at that time.
