Obituary:
Vernon Proctor, 79, of Salt Lake City died March 26, 1994.

Born December 6, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois to Samuel Carroll and Ellen Josephine Benfell Proctor. He married Bertha Brasher on April 13, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the Air Force as a colonel. He graduated from the U of U with a degree in electrical engineering and worked for General Electric and at Hill Air Force Base. An active member of the LDS Church, he served in the Spanish-American Mission and with his wife in the Peru Northern Mission. He served for many years as a worker in the Salt Lake Temple.
He received the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the Rotary Club.

He is survived by his wife Bertha, Salt Lake City; 4 children and their spouses...: 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Homer Proctor, Provo, Utah; and five sisters: Leone Schneider, Salt Lake City; Loretta Draney, Ogden, Utah; Carol Thompson, Bountiful, Utah; Helen Quinn and Barbara Armstrong, both of Calif.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 31, 1994 at 12 noon in the Salt Lake LDS 14th Ward, 142 West 200 North. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and at the Church Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
