Anne Campbell, 77, of Tyler went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Dec. 14, in Tyler. She was born Dec. 8, 1933, in San Angelo to the late Dr. Lowell Wilson Spikes and Jerry Slaughter Spikes. She had resided in Tyler since 1967, was a loving housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Anne is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jack Campbell of Tyler; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and Doug Andrews of Carrollton and Shannon and Scott Line of Tyler; one brother, Carey Spikes of Euless; four grandchildren and their spouses, Josh and Edye Andrews, Cameron and Audrey Andrews, Erin and Paul DuToit and Alyson and James Goodman; and five great-grandchildren, Ben, Haley Jo, Clara Beth, Ashton and Julia.

Anne graduated from Texas Tech in 1955 with a degree in music. She was very active in the music field, having been a member of numerous church choirs since her junior high years. She was a member of the Richardson Choral Club, Tyler Music Coterie, charter member of Tyler Civic Chorale, and former member of the Community Concert Association. She sang for many organizations, clubs and churches throughout East Texas.

She attended the Faith Community Church and was a member of the Emerald Bay Community Church. She attended and led Bible studies at Bible Study Fellowship for seven years.

A private family graveside service will be in Rose Hill Cemetery on Friday under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, followed by a celebration of Anne's life that will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at the Emerald Bay Community Church with the Rev. Mark Skorheim and Dr. Jay Riley officiating.

The family will receive friends at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the Emerald Bay Community Church; Don Anderson Ministries; Tyler Music Coterie Scholarship Fund, 1215 Barbara, Tyler, 75701; Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd. Tyler, 75701; or to the Anne Campbell Memorial Fund at Faith Community Church, 17833 U.S. Highway 69 South, Tyler, 75703.
