Francisco "Poppy" Abraham Jr., 52, of Pueblo, passed away May 12, 2000. Born March 29, 1948, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Abraham; one brother, Raymond Abraham; parents, Francisco and Teresa Abraham; and mother-in-law, Mary Palma. Survived by children, Francisco Isaac (Shari) Abraham, Pueblo, Domingo (Alicia) Abraham, Denver, Cesar (Roberta) Abraham, Arvada, Crystal (Tom Garcia) Abraham, Pueblo, and Andrew Miranda, New York; grandchildren, D.J., Joanna, Mariha, Izaiah, Vincent, Madison, Rebecca "Mama", and Cesar Jr.; brother, Tony Abraham; sisters, Maria (Alfred) Requena and Lizabeth (Edgar) Rivera, all of New York; brothers-in-law, Edward (Gina) Gonzales, Anthony Gonzales, Ernest (Phyllis) Gonzales and John (Louise) Herrera; sisters-in-law, Mary (Arthur) Cisneros and June (Vincent) Duvall. Poppy was a disabled veteran. He enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and family. Poppy received the Purple Heart and various medals and received Conspicuous Service from Gov. Cuomo in New York. Memorial prayer service, 7 p.m. Tuesday and funeral service, 11 a.m. Wednesday, both at Romero Chapel. Officiant, Pastor Angel Melendez. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received at 1728 E. 10th. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
