Anna Cerephia Watterberg was born in Richland County, North Dakota, September 3, 1879, just three months after her parents had come to America from Sweden. The Watterbergs had not yet settled on their own place and were living with some prople named Julian on a farm about 3 miles southwest of Wolverton, Minnesota, but on the Dakota side. When Anna was about 4, the family moved to their farm near Wolverton and this is where she grew to womanhood.
On June 1, 1904, Anna married widower Alfred Anderson. While Anna and Alfred lived in the Deerhorn area, they had 3 children. About 1913, they moved to a homestead of 280 acres at Hingham, Montana.
Anna and Alfred both became sick with the flu in the fall of 1918. Sarch died November 13, 1918 at the age of 39. She was expecting her fourth child. Her funeral was at the Dibley Presbyterian Church. She is buried in the Deerhorn cemetery.
