Motorcycle Rider Killed In Accident
Dennis C. DeCant, 32, of Wauseon, O., was killed Saturday when his motorcycle struck a mailbox on State Rt. 108, troopers at the Toledo post of the state highway patrol said yesterday.
Troopers said Mr. DeCant was northbound on Route 108 a mile south of the Michigan-Ohio line when he struck the mailbox about 5:15 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. DeCant, an army veteran of the Vietnam war, was a laborer for the Fayette Tubular Corp., Fayette, O.
Surviving are his wife, Kristine; son, Adam; mother, Mrs. Hattie Harris, of Toledo; half brother, Robert Woodby, and sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Slack, Mrs. Marlene Rogers and Mrs. Jean Crossman, of Toledo.
The body is in the Edgar Mortuary, Wauseon, where services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
