Mrs. Engel Dies Easter Sunday
"Mother of Mrs. Roy (Inez ) Baker Dies at Age of 75 years"
Mrs. Carrie Engel, widow of Milton H. Engel died early Easter Sunday morning at Fargo, North Dakota where she has been making her home for the past two years with her daughter Miss Leone Engel and grandson Charles L. Engel.
Mrs. Engel was born in Jackson, Michigan on December 17th, 1863 and was 75 years, three months, and 22 days old. She had been in failing health for some time.
Mrs. Engel's maiden name was Carrie Clark. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Clark among the pioneer residents of Main. Her husband the late Milton H. Engel was engaged in the livery business in this city years ago. Mrs. Engel had been a resident here since 1879. Following the death of her husband she made her home with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Roy Baker until the past two years when she resided in Fargo.
Surviving are her two daughters Mrs. Roy Baker and Miss Leone Engel, two sisters, Mrs. George Chaffee of Maine and Mrs. Dave Wemple of Los Angeles and one brother Fred Clark of Portland, Oregon.
The remains were brought to this city from Fargo and Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 in the afternoon form the Barnard Mortuary. Rev. M.O. Smith of the methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetry
