Highway engineer, Chinook Pass, Washington and Cour de'Lane, Idaho, lived in Buffalo, New York, Yakima and Olympia, Washington. Excellent begonia grower and gardener. Fearless driver in his Buick!
He married Elma Wilder, 1937. No children. He spent time hiking in the Cascade and Olympic mountains. Black Chihauwa, "Joe" ate on china dishes and at the table, Uncle Max really loved his little dog. He and Elma traveled to Arizona, bringing back gifts as well as pleasant memories.
