James Ruan McLaughlin Sr was born into the oil business. He and his brothers and their sons were wildcatters, managers, and even executives during the first half of the 20th century, primarily in Oklahoma and Texas.
He was elegant, distinguished, and tough. He and his wife kept the family together in nearby Ranger for decades. Sadly, he outlived his namesake son by 12 years. His impression is still felt by all of the family.
He was buried in Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas but the location has not yet emerged. If you have any updates or information, it would be greatly appreciated.
